A documented history of domestic abuse, we learned last month in the person of former White House staff secretary Rob Porter, does not preclude people from working in the White House. To many, such as Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Chief of Staff John Kelly, it seemed shocking that a well-educated, highly accomplished professional could be violent.
