From on high: 30 Angels presented at annual black-tie benefit for Hope Lodge

Thirty Angels were presented March 3 at the Hope Ball, a black-tie fundraiser for Hope Lodge.

The Hope Angels are high school juniors who volunteered at least 25 hours of community service. Escorted by their fathers, each girl took center stage to be presented at the Wally Allen Ballroom in the Statehouse Convention Center.

The evening also included a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, and a gourmet dinner.

Two women were presented with awards. Michele Towne, owner of Inviting Arkansas magazine, was presented with the Hope Award. In her magazine, Towne annually showcases the president of the Hope Lodge's 20th Century Club as well as a photo spread of the Angels.

Teresa Clow was given the Distinguished Service Award. Clow, owner of Advanced Advertising & Production, has been a member of the 20th Century Club for well beyond the seven-year requirement. She works with media outlets to increase exposure of the Hope Lodge.

The live auction drew a $15,000 bid for a seven-night vacation at the winner's pick of eight exclusive resorts. The evening ended with dancing to The Jam Wows!

Martha Ellen Talbot and Lisa Wright served as chairmen of the event. Lisa Fischer and Chris Kane were masters of ceremonies.
