Is it too much to ask for this paper to NOT use loaded/slang terminology like "pot" or "marijuana" when discussing cannabis? I don't recall them every referring to other medications in such a way.

Why is the poster with 18 letters in their name offended?

When it was discussed before being legalized, it was called " Medical marijuana".

I have not been a big fan of Griffen, but I applaud him for his actions on this one. There certainly seems to be some collusion here. The voters approved this measure, and some insiders immediately stunk it up. Why can't we have nice things?

GeneralMac. I am not offended; rather I was just asking for objective and professional terminology. Sorry if my name offends you.

Griffen violates the Cannons he vowed to live by daily with his religious and political involvement yet he continues unchecked. Why is that?

For many months now, medical marijuana has been part of the Arkansas Constitution, but the product remains legally unavailable to those of us with a certified need at the very time when other pain medication is increasingly restricted from many who legitimately require it. We are losing track of the underlying consequences affecting the quality of life of many who have a legal medical authorization but are being ignored by those who are taking a slow walk of a political nature.

Please enlighten us to the double blind FDA studies that show pot a safe, known dose(for elderly, nursing, pediatric) medicine..and you smoke it?

"Please enlighten us to the double blind FDA studies"
.
1. NIDA, and by extension the Federal Government, has inhibited marijuana research for YEARS. Any guesses why? So, as you well, know, there are no FDA sponsored studies. And you can't market a drug that people can grown on their own so no drug company will fund one either.
2. The government DID do a study back in the 70s. And they continued to give marijuana to the living participants which, as of a few years ago, there was one still living.
3. The active ingredient, THC, IS FDA approved. So it's downright idiotic to say that pot, per the DEA classification, has NO medical benefit. That's contradictory.
