Wedding vows were exchanged by Sondra Kaye Boone and John Fitzgerald Stokes at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 11, in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ronnie Miller Yow officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Alice and Norman D. Johnson of Little Rock and the late James Earl Knauls. She is the granddaughter of the late Mary and James Boone of Little Rock and the late Meda Knauls Williams and the late Louis Barker, both of Fort Smith.

Parents of the groom are Hamp Stokes and the late Gwendolyn Lucille Stokes, both of Norphlet. He is the grandson of Marie Ford of Little Rock, the late Bloomer Ford of El Dorado and the late Ollie V. and Ben Stokes of Norphlet.

The chancel was decorated with Boston ferns and two black wrought iron candelabra draped with Italian ruscus. Music was by vocalist Crisshaundra Pullom, pianist La'leata Westbrook and violinist Cliff Prowse. A scripture reading was by Kanetra Staton.

Given in marriage by her stepfather, the bride wore an ivory silk-satin gown by Vera Wang with an off-the-shoulder bodice embellished with lace. She carried a bouquet of three-dozen white roses and Italian ruscus.

Serving as the bride's honor attendants were Dr. Marie Boone, sister of the bride, and Dr. Gwendolyn Bryant Smith, both of Little Rock. Rae Wells of Little Rock was a bridesmaid. They wore floor-length metallic gold gowns and carried calla lilies. Honorary bridesmaids were Letitia Bailey; Dr. Donna Brown; Corla Rideout; Tonya Boone, cousin of the bride; and Kanetra Staton; all of Little Rock; and Toni Gaddie of Maumelle, cousin of the bride. They wore black chiffon gowns.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Kendalyn Macon of Jacksonville and Andrew Smith of Little Rock.

Serving as his brother's best man was Hamp Stokes Jr. of Little Rock. Groomsmen were Anthony Hicks of Fayetteville, and Anthony Stokes of Little Rock, brother of the groom. Guests were seated by Tracy Fells of Little Rock and Michael Johnson of Maumelle.

A reception at Pleasant Valley Country Club was held after the ceremony. Guest table centerpieces included antique-gold candelabra set in arrangements of white roses and hydrangeas and large crystal bowls on black pedestals filled with white roses. Music was by saxophonist Danny Fletcher and pianist Josh Fletcher.

The bride received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where she participated in the honors program, was a member of the Razorback Belles, a homecoming maid and president of Alpha Kappa Alpha. She has a law degree from the William H. Bowen School of Law and is a lawyer for the U.S. Social Security Administration.

The groom attended Henderson State University where he was a member of the marching band. He is a coordinate measuring machine programmer for Sig Sauer and owner and operator of Stokes MasterLab.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Las Vegas.
