2 BEASTS

It's still Spring Break and the Little Rock Zoo is celebrating with special activities every day through Sunday. There will be games, crafts, animal encounters, and other animal-related fun, like the Big Tortoise Weigh-In on Saturday. Today's focus is on bears. Friday's is small carnivores, followed by reptiles and amphibians on Saturday and great apes on Sunday. Grown-ups can get some time off by dropping the kids off for games, projects and other activities at Parents' Night Out, 6-10 p.m. Friday. The evening is for children ages 5-12 and cost is $35, $30 for members. The zoo is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Sweet Adelines International's Heart of America Region 25, comprising groups from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas, will for the second year in a row hold its annual women's a cappella barbershop music competition Friday-Saturday at Little Rock's Robinson Center Performance Hall, 426 W. Markham St. at Broadway, Little Rock. Competition for 26 quartets kicks off at 3 p.m. Friday; 21 choruses will battle it out at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. 4 BALLET

Ballet Arkansas and its Creative Corridor neighbor Matt McLeod Fine Art Gallery have collaborated on "Art Movement," a new exhibit featuring works by artists from across the United States inspired by the dancers of the ballet's professional company, which goes on display 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at the gallery, 108 W. Sixth St., Little Rock. Dancers wll perform at 6, followed at 8 by a live art demonstration that will create a "gestural art work" to be auctioned at the end of the night. Clumsy, socially inept flower shop worker Seymour Krelborn (Devin Robertson) discovers, fosters and names after his love interest, Audrey (Brooke Wallace), a carnivorous plant that wreaks havoc on Skid Row in Little Shop of Horrors (music by Alan Menken, lyrics and book by Howard Ashman), onstage through April 21 at Murry's Dinner Playhouse, 6323 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock.
