Ellen DeGeneres is among the executive producers of the new ABC series Splitting Up Together. It premieres at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The show revolves around Lena (Jenna Fischer, The Office) and Martin (Oliver Hudson, Rules of Engagement), a married couple who find themselves at a crossroads in life. After realizing they're in a platonic marriage, the couple decides that a divorce is the answer. With three children to care for they decide that one parent will live in the house "on-duty" and the other will stay in the detached garage, and they'll switch roles every other week.
Sander Thomas plays the couple's 7-year-old son, Milo; Van Crosby is 14-year-old Mason and Olivia Keville plays 15-year-old feminist Mae. Also in the mix are friends Camille (Lindsay Price) and Arthur (Bobby Lee, MadTV) and Lena's sister Maya (Diane Farr).
