Keller Williams, Austin Lucas among live shows

Singer-songwriter Keller Williams will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $20.

Williams, who has been described as a one-man jam band, due to his mastery of the Gibson Echoplex Digital Pro looping unit to create a variety of instrumental layers of music created on guitar, bass, percussion, theremin, synthesizer and piano. He is known for his projects that focus on bluegrass, jazz, funk, reggae, folk, electronica and alternative rock sounds.

The 48-year-old graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College moved to Colorado to begin his career. He has worked or toured with The String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mountain String Band, Ratdog and Umphrey's McGee.

He has released 22 recordings, the latest of which, Raw (a collection of stripped-down solo acoustic material), came out in 2017. He recently announced a Tom Petty-inspired Keller Williams' PettyGrass, on which he performs a set of Petty songs, bluegrass-style. He also released the debut of Sync, his acoustic dance project, KWahtro.

Amity Road will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission ranges from $8 to $21.

Austin Lucas will perform at 9 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Lucas, an Indiana native who lived in the Czech Republic from 2003-08, has released 11 albums since his debut CD in 2006. One of his 2011 releases, A New Home in the Old World, was inspired by his time living in Europe, and the other, Live From the White Water Tavern, was recorded at what Lucas has described as his "favorite bar in the world." His latest album, Between the Moon & the Midwest, came out in 2016, and one of his forthcoming 2018 albums, Immortal Americans, has been a crowd-funding project, and the other, Killing Time -- Field Recordings, was recorded Sept. 16 at The Refuge Arts Chapel in Appleton, Wis.

Little Rock-based Last Chance Records has been Lucas' label of choice in recent years.

Big Silver will perform at 9 p.m. Friday. Admission is $7.

The Salty Dogs, along with opening act Cherry Red, will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7.
