Music for the ceremony was by organist Jesse Reeks and St. Louis Cathedral Cantor Kathryn Matherne, who sang "Ave Maria." Readers were Michael Cullen of Oceanside, Calif., cousin of the groom, who also served as an usher, and Melanie Dancy of Little Rock, aunt of the bride.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory silk-organza ballgown. She carried a bouquet of white and ivory roses, white peonies and white dendrobium orchids.

Guests were also seated by Brandon Thomas Oxner of Cambridge, Mass., cousin of the bride.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom led a traditional New Orleans Second Line parade to a reception at Marche. Guest tables held a mix of tall arrangements with sprays of white spirea and curly willow and gold-footed bowls with arrangements of roses and peonies. Music was by The Phunky Monkeys.

The bride graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication from Tulane University and with a master's degree in public service administration from The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.
