This is a good thing and will help build a strong rival game in Little Rock. The city has the fan base and hotel space to accommodate the game and can turn it into something similar to what Dallas does for the Texas-OU game with extracurricular activities in the River Market District and/or around the stadium. But it's going to take some innovative thinking from the city to maintain this arrangement. It needs to become a destination game, not a spot on the schedule.

Very good solution, since this is the game every other year that the students are not present on campus in Fayetteville to attend. Now all that needs to happen is for LR and southern Arkansas fans to keep up their part of the deal and make sure that the stadium is sold out and full of actual attendees every time the game is played.

Little Rock got a great deal and better than I expected.

Great deal for BOTH parties involved.

Southern Arkansas says no thanks, better venues and better teams within roughly the same distance. Let the Ozarks have the Hogs, no cultural ties to them down here.

Instead of the spring game every other year they should play ASU in the fall, that would fill the place up.

Golden opportunity.......

time of the year ....long Thanksgiving weekend
team...................SEC team just across the north border

Yes, if LR Tourism plays their cards right ( extra activities as listed in post #1) they can be assured of not only a sellout but a " hot ticket" in the future.

Use some advertising to promote it in Missouri as well.

Seems like a pretty good deal for everyone and as hurricane said, the icing on the cake would be to schedule ASU in the other years. Pig fans should realize that ASU has never stolen a recruit from the UA and the game would likely be competitive maybe one out of every ten times. Instead of giving the money to some no-name out of state cupcake, it could stay right here and benefit the state and city.

Jfish..........There is one flaw in your suggestion.

Time of the year !

I think it was a " genius move" to pick a weekend when students were gone.
Impossible to work ASU into that weekend.
