Two people stabbed in scrum at LR mall

A stabbing at a Little Rock mall on Thursday left two people injured, police said.

The two people were stabbed on the third floor of Park Plaza, police spokesman Lt. Michael Ford said.

Little Rock officers were called to the mall about 6:30 p.m. to assist off-duty Pulaski County deputies, Ford said. A fight involving five to six people had broken out at the mall, he said.

One stabbing victim drove herself to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary while a second victim, who was stabbed in the lower extremities, went to a police station after the incident, he said.

Ford reported that neither victim has life-threatening injuries. He said one suspect was in custody Thursday evening.

Crime scene tape blocked off a part of a walkway inside the mall as customers strolled past businesses.

Authorities also blocked off a large swath of the parking lot on the north side of the mall.

Police find Ecstasy, meth, arrest 3 men

Several people face felony charges after authorities found about 5 pounds of methamphetamine and several hundred Ecstasy pills on Wednesday, according to police report.

The arrestees include Nicholas Robinson Sr., 46, of Little Rock; Nicholas Robinson Jr., 23, of Little Rock; and Deketric Lamon Harper, 23, of Little Rock, according to the reports.

Authorities executed a search and seizure warrant at 6831 Dahlia Drive in Little Rock and found the drugs and numerous firearms, as well as a large amount of cash.

All three were charged with trafficking methamphetamine, maintaining a drug premises and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Robinson Jr. was also arrested on a fourth charge of possession of firearms by certain persons, according to the report.

AG charges LR man in child-porn case

A 38-year-old Little Rock man has been arrested on more than two dozen counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving children, Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge said.

Justin Axelroth remained in the Pulaski County jail on Thursday morning after his arrest a day earlier by the Cyber Crimes Unit from Rutledge's office. Bail was set at $75,000.

According to a statement from Rutledge, investigators seized computers, hard drives and cellphones from Axelroth's home.
