SPRINGDALE -- A 16-year-old boy drowned Sunday at the Prairie Creek swimming area on Beaver Lake, according to the Benton County sheriff's office.
Authorities identified him as Raymond Vaughns, said Sgt. Shannon Jenkins, a sheriff's office spokesman.
Vaughns was a sophomore at Bentonville High School, said Leslee Wright, the Bentonville School District's director of communication.
