WASHINGTON COUNTY

Glory Bound Baptist Church in Goshen, 430 Oxford Bend Road, presents several guest speakers through the month. A speaker from Gideon's International joins the congregation for the morning and 6 p.m. evening services Sunday, and Larry Mitchell at the morning and evening services May 27.

The church plans a rummage and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. Proceeds go to the church building fund.

University of Arkansas will offer a summer class on contemporary Jewish thought, taught by Jacob Adler, associate professor of philosophy and rabbi of Temple Shalom of Northwest Arkansas in Fayetteville. The course will meet from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 29 to June 29. Topics include: Can women be rabbis? What is a miracle? How should we think about the various streams of Judaism?
