A man died after the pickup he was driving crashed into a stopped tractor-trailer rig in construction-zone traffic on Interstate 30 in Arkansas, authorities said.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. Thursday in Fulton in Hempstead County, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report.
Matthew Pusateri, 26, of Lafayette, La., was driving west in a 2006 Toyota Tundra when it hit the rear of the 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer in backed-up traffic, state police said.
Pusateri suffered fatal injuries. No one else was reported hurt.
The weather was clear, and the interstate was dry at the time of the crash, state police reported.
