Emily Claire Cole became the bride of David Richard Allan at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa on Lake Ouachita. Officiating was Mary Templer of University Community Church in Windsor, Canada.
The bride is the daughter of Cherokee and Bobby Cole of Springdale and the granddaughter of Barbara and the late Joseph Biedenharn of North Little Rock, the late Betty Cole of Fayetteville and the late Thomas Cole of Little Rock.
Parents of the groom are Pam and Peter Allan of Missouri City, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Joyce Spence.
The ceremony site was decorated with arrangements of baby's breath, Veronica, eucalyptus and myrtle. Music was by cellist Alexander Seman and Gio Antipolo on the keyboard.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with cap sleeves and open back and a tulle skirt. She carried a bouquet of eucalyptus and baby's breath.
Cicely Ellen Samuels of Chicago was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Samantha Roper of Prairie Grove; Paige Weeks and Clio Rom, both of Fayetteville; Amelia Windsor of Dallas; Meredith Sokora of Little Rock; and Rebecca Cole of Springdale, sister of the bride. They wore gowns in the style of their choice in shades of blue and green.
Best man was Michael Allan of New York, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Alec Goetz of Houston; David Hensley of Gainesville, Fla.; William Cole of Fayetteville; Lyle Gregory of Chicago; Robert McCarthy of Colorado Springs; and Wade Ingram of Silver Springs, Md.
Guests were seated by Kaylee Thorp and Collin Eggers, both of Little Rock.
A reception after the ceremony was held at the resort's East Cove Pavilion. Guest tables were decorated with mason jars filled with myrtle, eucalyptus, Veronica and baby's breath.
The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a bachelor's degree in English and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is a sales development representative at Apptegy.
The groom graduated from Hendrix College with a bachelor's degree in philosophy. He is director of marketing at Apptegy.
The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a wedding trip driving from Barcelona, Spain, to Nice, France.
