Ozark Regional Transit lets kids ride free for summer

FAYETTEVILLE -- Kids will be able to ride Ozark Regional Transit buses free of charge this summer on all fixed routes.

ORT has been providing the "Kids Ride Free" summer program for more than a decade.

All three malls, two aquatic centers, four public libraries, four movie theaters, several parks and museums, the downtown areas of towns that participate in public transit, The Jones Center and multiple trailheads along the Razorback Greenway are all accessible by bus.

The free dates are from Tuesday through Aug. 31 and are open to anyone born in 2001 or later, age 17 or younger. Children younger than age 12 are required to have an older guardian accompanying them.

Summer lunch programs are offered by local public schools at multiple locations, many served by ORT routes.

Visit www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks for locations in your specific community and ort.routematch.com/fixedroute to coordinate with ORT fixed routes.
