PARTY AT CAMP

Aldersgate benefit moves back home

After having its annual fundraiser at various venues in Little Rock over the past few years, Aldersgate After Dark was held at Camp Aldersgate for the first time May 18.

The camp is dedicated to serving children with special needs and medical conditions and adults in a camp environment. The festivities at the camp allowed guests to tour the camp and even ride the camp's accessible carousel, the only one in the state.

The evening also featured a buffet of finger foods served from two elevated canoes, drinks, a silent auction and music by The Intruders. Outside, campy props were provided for social media-worthy photos. Later, a special "Fund a Cause" was announced to raise money for a new golf cart which is critical for the operation of the camp.

Serving as co-chairmen of the event were Anna and Tim Coon.
