Nuptial vows were exchanged by Dr. Sara-Bethany Maveline Smith and Dr. Connor Bradley Weir at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, in First United Methodist Church, Ozark, Ala. The Revs. Billy Gaither and Bobbi Lassiter officiated.

Parents of the bride are Lisa and Stanley Smith of Ozark. Her grandparents are the late Sara and Kenneth Smith and the late Maveline and William Gammill.

Lynda and Charles B. Weir II of Little Rock are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Joyce and Charles Weir and Marlene and the late Major Philip E. Lee.

The chancel held two arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus and spider chrysanthemums. Music was by organist David Ethridge, harpist Ashleigh MacCormmack and vocalist Lynn Ivey.

Given in marriage by her parents and her brothers, the bride wore a trumpet-style gown of ivory raw silk with an off-the-shoulder lace overlay with elbow-length sleeves. She carried a bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas and lilacs with ruscus and eucalyptus.

Serving as the bride's honor attendants were Dr. Kaitlin Larson of Mobile, Ala., and Chelsea Thomas of Birmingham, Ala. Bridesmaids were Betsy Green of Ozark; Amanda Brandt of Alexander City, Ala.; Abby Harris of Birmingham; Olivia Sutphen of Denver; Katey Foley of Nashville, Tenn.; Dr. Allison Sullivan of Mobile; and Amanda Weir of Little Rock, sister of the groom. They wore Caspian Sea-colored Empire gowns and carried bouquets of white anemones, roses and hydrangeas.

Flower girl was Ella Kathrine Gammill of Enterprise, cousin of the bride, and ring bearers were Holton Gammill Smith and Hooper Griffin Smith, both of Ozark, and David Guyton Smith of Port Canaveral, Fla., nephews of the bride.

Best man was the father of the groom. Groomsmen were Dustin Taylor, Dr. Ryan Fahy and Dr. Neil Tindell, all of Birmingham; Dr. Benjamin Rauh of Detroit; Paul Bagley of Atlanta; Dr. Christopher Simone of Philadelphia; Judge Stuart Smith of Ozark; and David Smith of Port Canaveral, brothers of the bride; and Dr. Matthew Talbott of Gadston, Ala.

A reception at The Holman House in Ozark was held after the ceremony. Tables were decorated with lanterns, candles and arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus and anemones. Music was by the band Nationwide Coverage.

The bride has bachelor's degrees in biomedical science and nutrition science from Auburn University. She graduated from Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine with a medical degree in osteopathic medicine. She is a family medicine resident physician in East Lansing, Mich.

The groom graduated with honors from Auburn with a bachelor's degree in biomedical science and summa cum laude with a master's degree in biology/microbiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also has a medical degree in osteopathic medicine from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a general surgery resident physician in East Lansing.

The couple will live in East Lansing after a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
