The city of Hot Springs has announced that election packets for residents interested in running for mayor or for one of the available city directors' seats are available from the city clerk's office.
The filing period begins July 27 and closes at noon Aug. 17.
The positions open are Position 2 (District 2), Position 4 (District 4), Position 5 (District 5) and Position 7 (Mayor), which is an at-large position.
The general election will be held on Nov. 6. Additional information is available at https://www.cityhs.net/
