Natalie Joelle Byrd - Joseph Barber Hurst III

Natalie Joelle Byrd became the bride of Joseph Barber Hurst III, who goes by Hayden, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mary Jane Cole officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Robin Glenn Fish of Little Rock and the granddaughter of Glenda and Clyde "Sonny" Kimmel Fish Jr. of Star City.

Parents of the groom are Mimi Myer and Joseph Barber Hurst Jr. of Little Rock. He is the grandson of the late Margaret and Dr. Robert Eugene Myer of El Dorado and the late Mayriann and Joseph Barber Hurst of Little Rock.

The chancel held a pair of cathedral arrangements of Quicksand roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and stock. Music was by organist James Stanley and soloist Kyle Liston.

The bride, given in marriage by her mother, wore an ivory silk-faille fit-and-flare gown with a draped strapless bodice. The skirt had an origami half-bow at the back and extended to a chapel train. She carried a white oval bouquet of orchids, roses and hydrangeas.

Maid of honor was Margaret Myer Hurst of Austin, Texas, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Anne Hackett of Chicago, Jennifer Elizabeth Lanna of Los Angeles, Abigail DeWitt Nixon of New Orleans and McKenzie Mourot Murphy and Brittany Michelle Pryor, both of Little Rock. They wore one-shoulder gowns of emerald crinkle chiffon and carried bouquets of Quicksand roses, white hydrangeas and pink dahlias. Flower girl was Kallie Anne Thompson of Star City.

The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Samuel Collins Baber, Colin Weaver Pelton, Warren Miles Stephens and David Charles Hesselbein, all of Little Rock; William Arlen Crass of Fayetteville; and Michael William Evans of Philadelphia.

Honorary attendants were Emily Michelle Kee of Dallas and Spencer Alexander Pickney of New York.

A reception at the Little Rock Country Club followed the ceremony. Guest tables were centered with gold candlesticks holding large garden arrangements and columns around the dance floor were covered with southern smilax and hanging orchid garlands. Music was by Rodney Block.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Loyola University New Orleans where she was a member of Theta Phi Alpha. She is a senior marketing manager at EHE Health.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He is a senior underwriter at Simply Funding.

The couple will live in New York after a wedding trip to Germany, Austria and Hungary.
