Where I live: My husband, Matt, and I just moved to the Leawood neighborhood in Little Rock. We live with our Australian shepherd, Merle, and our basset hound, Lucy Belle. We are so in love with our neighborhood and how centrally located we are within the city. Matt and I are currently doing improvements to our midcentury home, so we are having a ball making it perfect for us.
Occupation: I own Red Beauty Lounge, a salon in the Heights at 1923 N. University Ave. We share a building with Baja Grill, a popular taco spot. Our red exterior can't be missed and the interior is larger than you think. We offer cuts, color, waxing, spray tan, lashes and facials.
My favorite space is: My home office-art room.
Why? With touches of pink and photos of my friends, staff and family, I can call this space my own. I use an 8-foot handmade walnut table crafted by my husband as my desk. It's large enough to do my computer work, paint, sew or wrap gifts. I like to close the door, watch rerun episodes of Friends and work away.
If I were to change one thing about this space I would: Make it a tiny bit larger to add a gym.
