Garfield store adds U-Haul services
Flying RF Feed & Farm Supply, 16601 U.S. 62 in Garfield, now offers U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, moving supplies and in-store pick-up for boxes.

Hospital earns accreditation
Northwest Medical Center-Springdale, working in conjunction with Roller Weight Loss and Advanced Surgery, earned accreditation from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program as a comprehensive center with adolescent qualifications. It is the only program in Arkansas to have earned the adolescent accreditation.
The bariatric surgical program was already accredited as a comprehensive center, a joint program of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
A multidisciplinary team works together to provide medical, nutritional, educational and behavioral support to create a customized weight loss treatment plan with the patient. Dr. Laurie Anderson serves as pediatric medical adviser for the adolescent program.
Fort Smith summit set
The Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce and 64.6 Downtown are hosting a one-day summit, Invest Fort Smith on Oct. 30.
The event is designed to build awareness of downtown economic development. Key objectives include discussions on best practices, lessons learned and prospects within downtown Fort Smith. These opportunities are defined in the Fort Smith downtown master plan, Propelling Downtown Forward, #PropelFS.
