Pet of the Week - Branch, Rock City Rescue.

Branch is a 1½- to 2-year-old shepherd/lab mix whose many interests include hot-dog tasting, kite flying, and trail running. Basically, he loves anything that involves fresh air and sunshine. He's a perfect guy for the outdoorsy types who like to live it up. He is in the 60-pound range and full of love, affection and tail wagging. He loves to play with all people and other dogs and is great with kids. If you are looking for a new doggy friend, then look no further because he has it all. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm-negative and house-trained.

Canine Close-Up

Sampson is a 2½-year-old, super happy and playful 90-pound lab mix. He's a low-key guy that would be fine with one or two older children, and he would prefer a no-dog or one-dog home. He does love puppies, though. He is house-trained, neutered, vaccinated and heartworm-negative. Also, he's not a typical lab mix. He's exhibited no destructive tendencies, hasn't chewed on any furniture, and he would not be suitable for going to a dog park. He loves people, car rides, sleeping on the bed and eating treats.

Featured Feline

Stormy is a petite tabby girl that was rescued one stormy night with her kittens. She is a shy kitty looking for a family willing to give her lots of patience and love as she learns to trust her human housemates. Working with her foster mom, Stormy has quickly decided that she loves to be petted, but not picked up, and loves cuddling up on the bed with the other kitties. She could be an amazing cat companion in a quieter home. She is friendly with other cats and has a calm, sweet personality. She must have a home without dogs.

Adoptable Bunny

Josephine is a beautiful, white New Zealand rabbit ready to find her forever home. She's been altered and is bunny-friendly.

Branch and friends can be adopted through Rock City Rescue. Other adoptable animals can be seen at rockcityrescue.org, and if you're interested in any available animal, email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com.
