THE SKINNY: Stouffer's Seasoning Wraps -- seasoned cooking papers -- sound pretty easy on paper.

Wrap boneless, skinless chicken breasts -- 6 ounces and no more than 1 inch thick-- in the pre-seasoned wraps (flavors are Italian Countryside Herb; Lemon Dill; Roasted Garlic & Lemon; and Roasted Tomato Herb). Without adding oil, cook breasts 10 minutes per side over low/medium in a non-stick pan; peel off paper and eat.

It's easy if you bother to read the directions. Which, I didn't -- mistake No. 1. I used a cast-iron skillet -- mistake No. 2 -- that had been rubbed with oil on high heat -- mistakes Nos. 3 and 4 -- which resulted in the first attempt burning and smoking.

If you follow directions, expect moist and decently seasoned chicken breasts. It's the kind of product a new cook or a noncook might try.

But if you're even a mediocre cook with a moderate assortment of spices, the need for Stouffer's Seasoning Wraps is hard to wrap one's mind around.
