Joan Helen Simmermaker and Brandon Mitchell Wells exchanged marriage vows at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Dream Point Ranch in Bixby, Okla. Cindy Burks with Life Church officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Anne and Jeffrey Simmermaker of Little Rock and the granddaughter of Joan and Robert Miller, also of Little Rock, and Fran and Sam Simmermaker of Columbus, Ind.
April and Mike Wells of Broken Arrow, Okla., are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Dorothy and Walter Love of Bixby and Karen and Mike Wells of Broken Arrow.
The ceremony site was decorated with arrangements of protea, lilies and amaranthus. Music was by vocalist and guitarist Brandon Frazier.
The bride wore an off-the-shoulder lace gown with three-quarter-length sleeves and carried a cascade of burgundy wedding flowers.
Serving as matron of honor was Paige Heffron of Springdale. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Wilson of Little Rock; Jane Wiegand of Nashville, Tenn., cousin of the bride; Lauren Wells of Stillwater, Okla., sister of the groom; and Shaye Kirkpatrick of Kiefer, Okla. They wore short burgundy dresses and carried bouquets that included thistle and burgundy flowers.
Best man was Taylor Throne of Stillwater. Groomsmen were Sinjin Cramer of Broken Arrow; Justin Becker of Albany, N.Y.; Derek Wells of Tulsa, brother of the groom; and Tom Simmermaker of Chicago, brother of the bride.
A reception -- also at the ranch -- was held after the ceremony. Tables were decorated with arrangements of protea, lilies and amaranthus. Music was by The Get Down.
The bride has a bachelor's degree in communication disorders from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and a master's degree in speech language pathology from the University of Tulsa. She is a speech-language pathologist.
The groom is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in human sciences and from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a doctorate in physical therapy. He is a physical therapist.
The couple -- after a wedding trip to Italy -- will live in Broken Arrow.
