REGIONAL

Class 6A

Greenwood 42, Sheridan 14

Quarterback Peyton Holt passed for 204 yards, but Greenwood (8-1, 6-0 6A-West) scored four rushing touchdowns and its defense added two more in a victory over Sheridan (2-7, 1-5).

Luke Leonard and Hunter Wilkinson scored on runs of 6 and 4 yards in the first quarter, and the Bulldogs built a 21-0 first-quarter lead on Gunner Perkins' interception return.

Holt scored on runs of 9 and 8 yards in the second quarter to make it 35-0 at halftime.

Sheridan scored on Alden Lucas' 20-yard run to make it 35-7, but Greenwood added another defensive score on Eli Martin's fumble return for a 42-7 fourth-quarter lead.

Sheridan completed the scoring on Trace Watkins' 3-yard touchdown run with 20 seconds to play.

Class 5A

Greenbrier 24, Alma 21

Alma failed to convert on a game-winning pass and a game-tying field goal in the final 5 seconds as Greenbrier escaped with a victory at home and put the Airedales' hopes of a playoff game at home in jeopardy.

Cody Powell's 26-yard field goal gave Greenbrier a 24-21 lead with 7:48 remaining, but Alma (4-5, 4-2) started its final drive at its 21 following a Tanner Shelton interception and drove to the Greenbrier 3 with 5 seconds left. Landon Blair's pass to Grayson Bailey in the end zone fell incomplete with 1 second left, then Logan King raced around left end and blocked Dane Martin's 19-yard field-goal try to end the game.

Harrison 56, Huntsville 14

Gabe Huskey and Riley Jones each had two touchdowns in the first half as Harrison clinched the outright 5A-West Conference championship and No. 1 playoff seed with a convincing win at home.

The Goblins (9-0, 6-0) led 27-0 after one quarter as Ben Johnson had a 12-yard touchdown run, while Huskey had scoring runs of 10 and 73 yards and Jones returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown. Johnson hit Colton Shaver with a 17-yard touchdown pass, and Jones caught a 39-yard touchdown pass to make it 42-0 at halftime.

Sean McCone threw a pair of touchdown passes in the third quarter for Huntsville (2-7, 0-6), hitting Cyrus Crow for a 62-yard score and Tyler Welch for a 57-yard touchdown.

Class 4A

Lincoln 38, Gentry 13

Lincoln rolled off 32 unanswered points after falling behind midway through the second quarter to defeat Gentry and set up next week's third-place game with Prairie Grove.

Caleb Loyd's 1-yard quarterback keeper and Cam Brown's 4-yard touchdown run allowed the Wolves (7-2, 4-2) to take an 18-7 halftime lead. Loyd then hit Sterling Morphis with a 25-yard touchdown pass early in the third quarter, then Christian Crittenden added a 2-yard touchdown run and Bradley Drain scored from 2 yards out.

Brandon Atwood gave Gentry (2-7, 2-5) the 7-6 lead with his 3-yard touchdown run, then Garrett Hays scored on a 2-yard run with under a minute to play for the Pioneers' final score.

Prairie Grove 22, Berryville 7

Cade Grant's 52-yard touchdown run on a fourth-and-short play put Prairie Grove ahead to stay as the Tigers knocked off Berryville at home.

Grant's run snapped a 7-7 tie, then Prairie Grove added a safety and Ethan Gunther's 1-yard touchdown run with under 2 minutes remaining.

Berryville took a 7-0 lead on J.D. Smith's 1-yard quarterback keeper with 10:06 before halftime, but Prairie Grove tied it on Garrett Heltemes' 1-yard touchdown run.

Pea Ridge 48, Green Forest 0

Samuel Beard ran for three touchdowns in the first half to lead Pea Ridge to a win over Green Forest.

Beard scored on runs of 1 and 8 yards in the first quarter, then raced 58 yards for a score in the second quarter to give the Blackhawks (7-2, 6-0 4A-1) an early 20-0 lead. Carson Rhine threw a 66-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Blair, and Tristin Brewer added a 38-yard touchdown run to make it a 34-0 halftime cushion.

Ozark 48, Waldron 7

Dawson Dietz fired three touchdown passes to lead the Hillbillies to the mercy-rule win.

Dietz hit Hayden Sanders for two scores and Bryant Burns for the other as Ozark (7-2, 6-0 4A-4 Conference) clinched the No. 1 seed in the conference for the upcoming playoffs.

Ozark will close the regular season at Elkins on Friday.

Class 3A

Cedarville 26, Mansfield 20 (OT)

Tate Larue and Kelin Mitchell each rushed for over 100 yards to lead Cedarville to an overtime victory over Mansfield

Mitchell had 117 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries while Larue had 116 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries. Isaiah Lawson added 88 yards on six attempts for the Pirates (3-6, 3-3 3A-1 Conference), who totaled 353 yards on the ground.

Greenland 40, Paris 7

The Pirates unleashed an offensive flurry of 530 total yards, including 336 on the gr0und.

Levi Vaughn led the way for Greenland (5-4, 3-3 3A-1 Conference), completing 5 of 7 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns, and 78 yards rushing on just two carries.

Hayden Stout led Greenland's run game with 93 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. Jett Dennis caught two passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

The Pirates kept their playoff hopes alive and will host West Fork on Friday in the regular season finale.

Charleston 41, West Fork 6

Brayden Ross threw for five touchdowns and ran for another as Charleston rolled past West Fork in 3A-1 Conference action.

Ross hit Kaleb Fisher with a trio of touchdown passes in the first quarter as the Tigers (5-4, 3-3) bolted to a 21-0 lead, and his touchdown run came in the second quarter to give Charleston a 28-6 halftime cushion.

Class 2A

Hackett 22, Lavaca 0

The Hornets kept their playoff hopes alive with a shutout win in 2A-4 Conference action.

Brady Hester rushed for 104 yards on 19 carries and scored a pair of rushing touchdowns, and was 11 of 16 passing for 132 yards.

Pacey McBride led the Hornets' defense with an interception, and he also caught 6 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.

Hacket (3-5, 2-3) closes the regular season at Johnson County Westside

Johnson Co. Westside 40, Western Yell Co. 28

The Rebels earned a 2A-4 Conference win as quarterback Tanner Bryant accounted for 275 yards of offense and three touchdowns.

Bryant was 10 of 18 passing for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns and ran for 150 yards and another score.

Sophomore Alex Xiong rushed for two touchdowns for Westside (2-7, 1-4), and freshman Dakota Beavers had two catches for 55 yards. James Linton had five catches for the Rebels.

STATE

Class 5A

Pulaski Academy 51, Watson Chapel 14

Junior quarterback Braden Bratcher passed for 369 yards and the Bruins' defense caused four turnovers and held the Wildcats to 43 yards of offense in the second half.

Pulaski Academy's victory, combined with White Hall's loss at Little Rock Parkview, clinched the 5A-Central title for the Bruins (8-1, 6-0).

Watson Chapel (2-6-1, 1-5) scored on its first two possessions and held a 14-8 lead with 3:19 remaining in the first quarter, but the remainder of the contest belonged to the Bruins.

Using a Wishbone-style attack, Watson Chapel scored on drives of 53 and 55 yards but the Wildcats managed only 104 yards of offense the remainder of the game.

Bratcher was 22 of 29. He ran for a touchdown and threw for four more, including two to senior John David White for 28 and 30 yards. Bratcher also connected with senior Nate Cumming for a 28-yard touchdown TD and with senior Hudson Henry for a 37-yard score.

LR Parkview 38, White Hall 26

Little Rock Parkview jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead, then held off White Hall at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

The Patriots (4-5, 4-2 5A-Central) got 128 yards on 16 carries, a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown from running back Geary Allmon to move into a tie for third in conference play with White Hall (5-3, 4-2). Pulaski Academy (8-1, 6-0) and Little Rock Christian (8-1, 5-1) lead the 5A-Central.

Bolding said the Patriots concentrated during the week on slowing down White Hall running back Donte Buckner. Buckner came into the game with 1,181 yards (147.6 yards a game) and 11 touchdowns, but he was held to 109 yards on 29 carries Friday.

Class 4A

Joe T. Robinson 57, Ashdown 13

The Senators (7-2, 5-1 7-4A Conference) wasted little time taking charge of their game with Ashdown on Friday night.

Robinson was coming off a 41-35 setback at Bauxite in a meeting of 7-4A unbeatens. Bauxite was defeated by Arkadelphia 24-12 on Friday, leaving the teams tied for the conference lead going into the final week of the season.

Junior Mekel Kentle made sure this one was going to be all Senators. He scored four touchdowns, one of them an interception return, and rushed for 117 yards on 5 carries.

Kentle raced 54 yards for a score on the game's fourth play. He followed that with an 8-yard touchdown run nine plays later. Trent Eskola, who did not miss a kick on the night, booted both extra points for a 14-0 lead.

After his 52-yard run set things up, Jaiden Lee scored on a 9-yard run with 4:52 left in the first quarter.

Greyson Tackett, who was 5 of 11 passing for 127 yards, connected with Traveon James on a 40-yard score. James caught three passes for 91 yards.

Warren 36, Hamburg 14

Keemontrae McKnight scored on 2 short runs and 1 long touchdown pass, and Jesus Tinoco kicked 3 field goals to lead Warren (8-0, 5-0 8-4A) to victory over Hamburg (7-2, 5-1).

The Lumberjacks led 20-14 when J'Malachi Kinnard scored on a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Kinnard completed the scoring with a 69-yard pass to McKnight, who scored on two 2-yard runs in the first half.

Fountain Lake 35, Benton Harmony Grove 34

Joe Murphy kicked the game-deciding extra point with 47 seconds left to push Fountain Lake (5-4, 2-4 7-4A) over Benton Harmony Grove (5-4, 3-3).

Murphy's kick came after Andrew Roberson's 18-yard run tied the game at 34-34.

The game was tied 21-21 at halftime.

Benton Harmony Grove scored late in the third quarter to take a 28-21 lead, but Fountain Lake countered with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Ian Lacy to Ahman Johnson just before the quarter ended.

Lacy threw 2 touchdown passes, both to Johnson.

Benton Harmony Grove went up 34-28 with 10:03 to play in the game, but the Cardinals missed the extra point.

Nashville 69, Malvern 10

Carmillias Morrison rushed for 102 yards and 3 touchdowns on 9 carries to lead Nashville (7-2, 4-2 7-4A) over Malvern (0-9, 0-6).

Jacobe Jefferson finished with 90 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 7 carries.

Tristen Jamison threw two touchdown passes and Dalton Brown caught a scoring pass for the Scrappers.

Jake Moorer passed for 102 yards for Nashville, which led 48-10 at halftime.

Class 2A

Junction City 48, Hector 7

Dhante Gibson rushed for three touchdowns and Jakiron Cooks added two more, and Junction City (6-2) beat Hector (6-3) in a game played at Henderson State in Arkadelphia.

Junction City converted two-point conversions after each of its six touchdowns. Gibson accounted for four of the conversions, while Jamie Carroll and Cooks tacked on the other attempts.

Hector's touchdown came on a 22-yard pass from Cody Day to Ty Day.
