BLYTHEVILLE 26, OSCEOLA 21
BLYTHEVILLE -- Brian Denkins scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 23-yard run in the fourth quarter to lift the Class 5A Chickasaws over the Class 3A Seminoles.
It was a back-and-forth game throughout, with Osceola (0-1) taking a 7-0 lead on Carl Miners' 12-yard completion to Greg Hooks.
Blytheville tied it 7-7 on a 33-yard pass from Jaheim Carter to Amari McChristian in the first quarter, but Osceola regained the lead on Kam Turner's 2-yard run before Blytheville tied it 14-14 before halftime.
Turner's 45-yard run gave Osceola a 21-20 lead in the third quarter, but the Chickasaws won it on Denkins' fourth-quarter score.
