CLINTON -- Junior Weston Amos had a hand in every Clinton (1-0) touchdown as the Yellowjackets slid past Heber Springs (0-1) in a back-and-forth battle.

Down 34-30, Amos threw to junior Austin Drake on the game's final play to give Clinton the victory.

Amos threw for the first of his three touchdown passes to Drake in the first quarter, which Heber Springs followed with a throwing touchdown of its own. Clinton missed the extra point and trailed 7-6 at the end of the quarter.

Amos ran for a touchdown for the first points of the second quarter to give Clinton a 12-7 lead.

Heber Springs senior Blaze Nelson then ran for a touchdown before Amos passed to senior Keaton Gresham for a touchdown as the Yellowjackets led 18-14 at halftime.

In the second half Amos ran for a touchdown, and the Panthers countered with a rushing touchdown of their own.

Going into the fourth quarter, Clinton led 24-20 but Heber Springs took the lead again after another rushing touchdown. Amos then converted his second passing touchdown with Drake to take a 30-27 lead that Heber Springs took back on another rushing touchdown.
