A Mississippi woman was struck and killed by a semitruck early Saturday near West Memphis, according to the Arkansas State Police.
About 4:45 a.m. Saturday, Samantha D. Sheffield, 37, was walking in the right lane of Interstate 55 near West Memphis when a 2015 International truck struck her, according to the state police report.
Sheffield was from Tupelo, Miss., and her body was taken to a West Memphis funeral home.
Police listed no information concerning the driver of the truck.
Weather conditions were clear at the time of the incident, the report said.
