PALESTINE --Kavien Davis rushed for seven touchdowns in the first three quarters, and Barton (4-1, 2-0 3A-6) blitzed Palestine-Wheatley (0-4, 0-1).
Davis, a 6-0, 210-pound junior, scored on runs of 22, 6 and 7 yards in the first quarter and added scores of 6 and 14 yards in the second quarter to give Barton a 37-6 halftime lead.
Davis' final two touchdowns were his longest, from 69 and 60 yards.
