Splash -- Ballet Arkansas' second annual Winter Wine Tasting -- was held Jan. 19 at the Little Rock Marriott.
Four wines -- two white and two red -- were presented by Colonial Wines and Spirits along with written descriptions of the flavors and aromas guests might experience as they tasted the wines. Guests dined on shrimp and grits prepared by chefs on the spot.
Music was by a string trio from the Arkansas Symphony orchestra: violinist Geoffrey Robson, violist Katherine Williams and cellist David Gerstein. And Ballet Arkansas presented a sneak peek of its winter production of Fire & Rain set for Feb. 14-17 at UA-Pulaski Tech Center for Humanities and Arts.
