First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, hosts a Linger for Soup Lunch at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Special guest will be Nick Robbins from Returning Home.

Ash Wednesday service will be at 6:30 p.m. March 6. Wednesday Night Fellowship Meals and Study will begin on March 13 and conclude on April 10, with dinner at 5:15 p.m., followed by classes for all ages at 6 p.m.

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., hosts Lenten soup suppers and meditations in McKay Hall each Wednesday from March 6 through April 10. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. with meditations beginning at 6:20 p.m. Suggested donation is $3 per person or $5 per family. Call the church office to sign up.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., will install the new associate pastor, the Rev. Christopher Gorshe, at 4 p.m. today. A reception will follow the service. All are welcome.

"Different Strokes for Different Folks" will meet at 2 p.m. Feb. 26 in the church library. This is a support group for problem solving and to socialize with caregivers and stroke/brain injury survivors.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and is in need of peanut butter, jelly, sugar-free Jell-O and healthy cereals.

On March 5, there will be a special worship service for those that are unable to attend a regular worship service. A lunch will be served. Anyone who needs transportation to this, or any other service, should call the church office.

Brightwater Memorial United Methodist Church, 14108 E. U.S. 62, and Pea Ridge United Methodist Church will hold a combined Ash Wednesday service at 6 p.m. March 6 at Brightwater.

First Baptist Church in Centerton, 351 W. Centerton Blvd., and Life Way Christian School, a ministry of the church, host nationally known author, columnist and family psychologist John Rosemond at 7 p.m. Feb. 26.

Rosemond will speak on "Parenting with Love and Leadership." He has authored more than 18 books, and his column appears in more than 200 newspapers.

First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 N.E. J St., will have the youth of the church lead worship Sunday at 10:15 a.m., followed by a spaghetti lunch in the Fellowship Hall. Donations for the lunch will support youth summer missions, conferences and general programming.

The FPC Food Pantry is open every Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.

First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, hosts a piano recital by church organist Broc Hite at noon March 3 in Becker Hall.

A soup supper will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. March 1 in Becker Hall as a fundraiser for the church-sponsored BSA Scouts. Cost is $8 per person at the door.

Lent begins with worship services at 11:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Ash Wednesday, March 6. Every week thereafter through April 16, there will be a worship service on Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. with a light lunch following.
