Farley at Rev Room; Bobgoblin set for Stickyz

Farley, who lives near De Queen, released a debut CD, Hog Heaven, and has followed that with All I've Been Through, The Bonfire Sessions and Winning With the Losers.

Jackson Taylor & The Sinners will perform at 8 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $15.

Taylor, who lives in Denver, has released more than a dozen albums, all without the use of record companies, publicists, management or booking agents. He has been hailed by Billy Joe Shaver for his songwriting prowess in having written "Hard to Be an Outlaw (Who Ain't Wanted Anymore"), recorded by Shaver and Willie Nelson.

He has recorded with Jason Boland, Dale Watson and Jonny Two Bags of Social Distortion fame. He has opened shows for Shaver, Nelson, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Black Crowes.

Bobgoblin will perform, along with opening acts A Vulture Wake and Sabine Valley, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $10.

Bobgoblin, formed as a trio in Dallas in 1993, released three albums under that name, then the group's name was changed to The Adventures of Jet.

Bobgoblin's lead singer and keyboardist, Hop Litzwire, won three Emmy Awards in 2010 for a documentary film, Silent Storytellers, about Arkansas cemeteries.

Greg Spradlin & The Libras will perform at 8:30 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Spradlin and The Libras -- Jason Weinheimer and Chris Michaels -- are local singer-songwriters who will do material of their own and their collaborations, which in the past have included evening-long tributes to Bob Dylan, The Band, Neil Young and Tom Petty.

The Keisha Pratt Band will perform at 7 p.m. Friday. Admission is $5.

The Houston-based Pratt and her band won first place in the band division of the January 2018 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

Hamell on Trial, along with opening act Stifft Beat, will perform at 10 p.m. Friday. Admission is $7.

Hamell on Trial is the musical alias of folk punk musician Ed Hamell. He has released 15 albums since his debut, Conviction, in 1989. His 2000 CD, Choochtown, features a celebration of the comedian Bill Hicks, who died in Little Rock at his parents' home in 1994.

Colour Design and Rah Howard will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7.
