Police on Thursday afternoon identified a man who was fatally shot in Pine Bluff that morning.
The victim was identified as Marquis Williams, 28.
About 9 a.m., officers responded to a call about a shooting at 10th Avenue and Juniper Street, the Pine Bluff Police Department said in a news release.
Authorities said when they arrived they found the man in the street suffering from "apparent gunshot wounds."
Officers said the motive for the shooting is still under investigation. Police said there was no information yet on a suspect.
The killing is Pine Bluff's first homicide in 2019.
