Benton County

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., hosts Carie O'Banion, speaking about her 400 mile walk on El Camino de Santiago, at 9 a.m. Jan. 19 in McKay Hall. Call the church office to sign up.

BVCC's Community Life Groups start Feb. 3. If you are interested in joining a group or learning more, please contact the church office or sign up at the Information Center on Sundays.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., opens its Shepherd's Food Pantry every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and is in need of peanut butter, jelly and cereal. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

The Men's Bible Study meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in back and enter the lower level.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., welcomes its new pastor, the Rev. James Lynn "Skip" French.

French comes from the Berryville Christian Church. He has a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological University and a Master of Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. He initiated his ministerial career with the United Methodist Church, serving in several churches for over 20 years, then joined the Christian Church (DOC) and became pastor in Berryville in 2012.

His wife, Charlisa, is an art teacher in the Bentonville Public Schools.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 14 in Fellowship Hall. Sign up by calling the church office, or church members can sign up in Connector Hallway.

Members of the community are also invited to an exercise class in Fellowship Hall every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 a.m. for stretching and low-impact exercise using a chair or a mat.

Washington County

Washington Regional Pastoral Care Department, 3 E. Appleby Road, Suite 102, Fayetteville, will offer a grief support group for women who have experienced loss through stillbirth or miscarriage.

The group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. every Sunday. It will be led by Jacqueline Eakens, chaplain of the Benton County Sheriff's Department.
