Chamber concert

The Emerald Piano Quintet -- Diana Hector-Norwood and Kiril Laskarov, violins; Borys Smolaga, viola; Brett Andrews, cello; and Dean Pesky, piano, all members of the South Arkansas Symphony -- will give a chamber concert titled "The Winds of Change," 7:30 p.m. Saturday, First United Methodist Church, 320 W. Main St., Magnolia. The program will include the String Quartet No. 2 in D major by Alexander Borodin and the Piano Quintet in f minor by Cesar Franck. Murder mystery dinner

Jonesboro's Foundation of Arts' Cabin Fever Gala fundraiser, 6 p.m. Saturday in the Ballroom, Arkansas State University Centennial Hall, 101 N. Caraway Road, Jonesboro, is a murder-mystery dinner theater that includes a gourmet meal, drinks, casino games and a performance of Clue: The Musical (music by Galen Blum, Wayne Barker and Vinnie Martucci, lyrics by Tom Chiodo, book by Peter DePietro, based on the board game). Forum tryouts

The Royal Players will hold auditions for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Larry Gelbart and Burt Shevelove), by appointment. 2-6 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Royal Theatre, 111 S. Market St., Benton. Director Bob Bidewell will cast seven principal men and two principal women (age 15 and up), plus an ensemble; auditioners should prepare 32 bars of a song from the show or in the style of the show ("upbeat, comedic, fun") and provide sheet music for the accompanist. There are no roles for children and no roles are precast. Video auditions will also be accepted. Production dates are April 4-7 and 11-14.
