The Arkansas State Bank Department promoted Elliott Hartle to Bank Assistant Examiner and Wynne Morgan to Bank Senior Examiner effective Dec. 30th.

HEALTH

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has hired Michelle Gonzalez to guide the formation and accreditation of a new nurse anesthesia educational program.

Shawn Barnett has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer on the CHI St. Vincent leadership team. Dr. Doug Ross is now CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs President while continuing as the Chief Medical Officer for the health system. Marcia Atkinson has been promoted to President of the CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute. Chris Stines has been promoted to President of CHI St. Vincent North. Bryan Williams has been promoted to Vice President for Patient Care Services for the health system.

Dr. Schwanda Flowers has been named interim dean of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. She is the college’s associate dean for administrative and academic affairs.

LAW

Max Deitchler has been elected as a new partner in Fayetteville for Kutak Rock LLP.

ORAL HISTORY

William Schwab, a longtime University of Arkansas, Fayetteville professor, is now the executive director of the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History. He will work part time as a professor in UA’s Department of Sociology and Criminology. The center’s previous director, Randy Dixon, is staying with the center to oversee the KATV project archive.

NONPROFIT

Kathy Tynes has been named executive director of Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas. Previously, she was comptroller, working the last three years as director of fiscal operations.
