THE CONJUNCTION FUNCTION OF MERCURY AND MARS
The imagination of adults will generally follow in the direction of available resources, whereas children who are unaware of the limits imposed by a longer time spent in a certain perceived reality will imagine wildly, and often brilliantly. Whatever you can do to get back to the purity of such imaginings is favored as Mercury conjuncts Mars.
INTUITION AND MERCURY RETROGRADE
When life is going as expected, with systems and routines in place to keep us marching along in our given and chosen roles, we can move with the confidence that comes with stability inside of a known world. But what about when everything shakes? Mercury retrograde has a way disrupting the status quo, making us less certain and more aware that we could be wrong, there could be more, or less, and that everything holding this picture of life together is a tenuous construct of our own mental processes.
And so, the logic we followed before suddenly seems less reliable. We could use new logic, but it would still be logic. We sense there's something better — an innate knowing that rises up to move us wordlessly, unconsciously, without the hassle of decision-making. This inner sense is so quick, it's undetectable, so much a part of us it seems that it is us. This is the power or our own intuition.
