Foundation partners with hospital

Arts patrons congregated June 16 for An Evening with Maestro Corrado Rovaris at the Fayetteville home of Mary Ann and Reed Greenwood. The cocktail gathering has become a traditional part of Walton Arts Center's Artosphere festival. The two-week annual celebration of art, music and nature featured performances, activities and discussions. Venues included the center in Fayetteville, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville, Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs and Hunt Chapel in Rogers.

The arts center's Broadway Series begins Oct. 27 with Escape to Margaritaville. The remainder of the series will see productions of The Play That Goes Wrong, Nov. 12-17; A Christmas Story: The Musical, Dec. 10-15; Once on This Island, Feb. 11-16; Anastasia, March 10-15; Fiddler on the Roof, April 14-19; and The Band's Visit, May 19-23.

Jackson L. Graves Foundation backers turned out in support of the 15th annual Red, White and Baby Blue benefit June 28 at the Garden Room in Fayetteville.

Organizers announced a long-term commitment to enhance Washington Regional's stabilization room and purchase specialized equipment for the neonatal intensive care unit. The stabilization room is a room staffed with a neonatologist and emergency equipment where babies who require immediate care can go following a high-risk delivery.

The nonprofit organization's other projects have included the neonatal intensive care sibling playroom at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, construction of the Healing Garden at Willow Creek Women's Hospital in Johnson and work with Washington Regional to fund the completion of a milk lab with the addition of two waterless milk warmers as well as recliners to aid parents in Kangaroo Care.

Next up for the group will be Choctoberfest on Oct. 20 at Moonbroch Brewing Co. in Rogers.
