WASHINGTON COUNTY

First Baptist Church in Greenland, 273 W. Wilson St., will host a jungle-themed Vacation Bible School for ages 4 through 12th grade from 6 to 8 p.m. July 21-25. Students will enjoy music, Bible lessons, crafts, missions, recreation and refreshments “In the Wild.”

First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, will celebrate Christmas in July at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday. Gifts will be given to the residents of the Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services homes.

The Rev. Kade Curry will teach a four-week inquirers class titled “How to Spell Presbyterian.” The class will meet July 21 through Aug. 11 at 9:30 a.m. in the church library.

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., begins a new Men’s Fellowship Group from 8 to 9 a.m. July 22 at Papa Mike’s Restaurant. Call the church office to sign up or call 640-6034 for more information. You may also sign up at the Information Center on Sunday morning.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., has scheduled another of the monthly sessions for caregivers and those they serve, called Different Strokes for Different Folks, for 2 p.m. July 23.

Griefshare Classes will begin on Aug. 29. There will be an orientation “short” class on Aug. 22, and the group will meet at 3 p.m. each Thursday, completing the 13 weeks of study on Nov. 22. Participants will use a workbook and view a video each week. These sessions will be held in the church library. The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. until noon and is in need of cereal and “Best Choice” PVC labels, which they can redeem to purchase items needed for the pantry. Containers for your donations are in the church narthex.

Forest Hills Church in Bella Vista, an American Baptist congregation, 1702 Bella Vista Blvd., hosts special music with Southern Strings, featuring dulcimers, psaltery, drums and guitar, at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rogers, 2305 S. Dixieland Road, hosts a Bible study on Christian doctrine at 7 p.m. July 27.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., invites PCBV members, families and friends to Pizza and Bingo Night on July 25. Pizza will be served at 5:30 p.m., and bingo will follow at 6:15. To attend, sign up in the church information center or call the church office.

The community is also invited but must call the church office so organizers know how many people to plan for. There is no charge to attend, but there will be a free-will offering taken at the event.

Every Thursday at 9 a.m., join church quilters in making quilts for those in need. Absolutely no sewing skills are needed to help.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., offers the Oasis Food Pantry from 10 a.m. to noon July 24. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, and at 6:30 p.m., there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the Worship Center. Infant and toddler nursery and Children’s Church for kids are offered, and the community is always welcome.

On July 26, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will have a blood drive at the church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held in the Oasis Food Pantry Center. Sign up at 876-5764, or you may simply stop by on Friday.
