The Ozark Mountains Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 11 a.m. June 10 at Simmons Bank in Rogers. The chapter has presented the following awards to students in Northwest Arkansas:
• Youth Citizenship Medal: Conner LaBrecque, Gravette High School; Axel Arias, Rogers High School; Hannah Bennett, Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy; Ana Lott, New Technology High School; and Riley Robbins, Pea Ridge High School.

Historians
The Washington County Historical Society will mark its annual Statehood Day observance with a presentation by S. Charles Bolton, professor emeritus of history at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, at 2 p.m. June 9 at First Christian Church, 220 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. Bolton will discuss this year's 200th anniversary of the establishment of Arkansas Territory.

Computers
The Bella Vista Computer Club will meet at 7 p.m. June 10 on the lower level of the Highlands Crossing Center, 1801 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista.
The presentation "Introduction to Last Pass" will be given by Woody Ogden. Last Pass is a password manager that stores your login information for all the websites you use, helps you log into them automatically and encrypts your password database with a master password so you only have to remember that one master password.
Club meetings are free and open to the public. Different handouts giving general information and computer tips are available at each monthly meeting.
Benefits of club membership include free classes on computer topics selected by the club, free remote online support at other times and free help for any computerized device at twice-monthly open house help clinic sessions. The sessions are a free service for members and are held from 9 a.m. to noon the first Saturday and third Wednesday of each month in BVCC's Training Center. The help clinic will be held June 19. Advance sign-up is required to attend classes.
Currently scheduled class for June include "Computer Security for Regular People: Part 1," presented by Justin Sell, owner of Bella Vista Computer Services, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 18.
BVCC also has a genealogy special interest group that will meet at 10 a.m. June 15.

Democrats
The Democratic Party of Benton County will meet at 6 p.m. June 10 at Mimi's Cafe, 2105 S. Promenade Blvd. in Rogers. The guest speaker will be Dr. Fitzgerald, who will speak on food insecurities in Northwest Arkansas. Participants can also learn about new ideas and actions the local Democratic Party has to improve lives and become people working for good.

Legion 341
Bella Vista's American Legion Post 341 general membership meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 10 at the Post Hall, 1889 Bella Vista Way in Bella Vista.
This is still the most important meeting of the year. This meeting charges members to complete nominations and elect new officers for the coming year. Officer installations follow the voting.
The post also offers "Coffee With the Commander" for members on the first and third Saturday mornings of each month and the breakfast buffets on the second and fourth Saturday mornings. These buffets are open to members and the public.
Lunches are served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday featuring a casual-themed menu available to members as well as the public.
The Post hosts "Taco Tuesday" and "Fish Friday" each week. Wednesday nights are devoted to trivia contests with Thursday night karaoke. All events are open to members and the public.
Saturday evenings are dance nights open to members and the public starting at 7 p.m. These events feature local musical groups. Food on Saturday evenings is limited but available from 4 to 7 p.m. The meeting hall is open to the public for rental on an "as available" basis.

Quilt Guild
Up In Arms quilt guild will meet at noon June 12 at Southside Church, 919 S. Dixieland Road in Rogers. The program is "What was the worst mistake you ever made longarm quilting? Bring an example, if you have it," and "Bring the first quilt you ever quilted on your longarm."

The Bella Vista Chapter 1547 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 10 a.m. June 14 in the Community Room at First Community Bank, 21196 U.S. 71 South in Pineville, Mo., just past the Jane Walmart.
The speaker will be Shayna Gibson with First Community Bank, who will talk about the internet, online and smart phone banking and about new scams that are happening.
