T-SHIRTS AND BOW TIES

Arkansas Commitment celebrates grads of 2019

High school seniors graduating from Arkansas Commitment, a leadership program for black high-school students, wore T-shirts on June 5 from the college they will attend in the fall. The students, along with family, supporters and members of the community, were attending the Bow Tie Bash at the Clinton Presidential Center.

Graduates received bow ties designed for the event as they arrived to a pre-program reception where they enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and music by The Rodney Block Collective.

A program included remarks by Executive Director Darren Morgan and graduates Brianna Fleming and Chase Swinton. Shep Russell, longtime supporter of Arkansas Commitment, was the guest of honor.
