1 Purse $26,000, 1 1/16 miles, 3-year-olds and up, Arkansas-bred, maiden claiming $20,000

**BLANCO BRONCO had a troubled start and wide trip in a deceptive fifth-place sprint tune-up, and he is likely to improve around two turns. MR. COUGAR crossed the wire only a neck behind the top selection, while also finishing with energy in a useful sprint. He is bred to be more effective at route distances. HAMAZING VISION is a two-time runner-up finisher who is dropping into a maiden-claiming race for the first time.

**LINDA LISTEN overcame a slightly troubled trip defeating $16,000 maiden-claimers, and she is taking a significant drop after a solid fourth-place finish on a muddy track. FEELS RIGHT dueled for the lead before tiring late in a competitive 2019 debut, and the lightly raced and improving filly is the one to catch. C C'S BABY GIRL was beaten less than 2 lengths in her second race after a long break, and she is switching riders and appears an overlay.

1 Linda Listen Vazquez Villafranco 5-2

***SUGAR CUBE was a fast-closing third in an encouraging sprint. She is back at her best distance, and she is taking a slight drop for new and winning connections. EDISTO ISLAND is dropping to the lowest price of her career for high-percentage trainer Robert McKnight. She possesses route speed and picks up a leading rider. MIZ OKLAHOMA BLUES is not the most consistent mare in the field, but she is rounding into peak form. She does possess a strong late run.

PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

1 Sugar Cube Eramia Broberg 5-2

4 Edisto Island Cohen McKnight 4-1

8 Miz Oklahoma Blues Vazquez Villafranco 7-2

4 Purse $22,500, 6 furlongs, fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up who have never won two races, claiming $10,000

**AGOSTA is the most consistent filly in the field, and she is dropping in class after a competitive fourth-place finish. Trainer Norman McKnight wins when he uses apprentice riders. LUCKY BE A LADY was a troubled fourth at a higher class level at Laurel. She has early speed and is racing for leading trainer Steve Asmussen for the first time. KENNEDELL broke her maiden last season at Oaklawn, and she was beaten less than a length at a higher price just two races back at Remington.

PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

6 Agosta Lara McKnight 3-1

5 Purse $38,000, 1 mile, 4-year-olds and up, claiming $25,000

**ALL ABOUT ASHLEY is an older class horse who consistently earns Beyer figures faster than today's rivals usually produce. He was claimed by winning connections and deserves favoritism. VAPORMAN did not show his usual speed in a fifth-place return from vacation. He was also claimed by a sharp stable, and a return to his better races will put him close at the finish. CAROUSE was a convincing winner at a similar level in his last race at Remington, but he has been on the sidelines for 14 weeks with only slow works showing for his new trainer.

PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

7 All About Ashley Cohen Broberg 5-2

8 Vaporman Hill Catalano 9-2

6 Purse $85,000, 1 1/16 miles, 3-year-olds and up who have never won three races, allowance

***BOLD PROPHET had his momentum slowed in traffic on the second turn in his return from a freshening. He switches to the leading rider and figures difficult to beat with a return to his 2018 form. DETERMINANT proved determined to the wire defeating starter allowance rivals, and he is a good finisher in a field with plenty of early speed. COSMOLOGIST was one-paced in his first race after a long layoff, but he is another who will benefit from a contentious pace. He has a license to show marked improvement.

PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

6 Bold Prophet Santana Cox 2-1

7 Determinant Elliott Holthus 5-2

4 Cosmologist WDeLaCruz Martin 20-1

3 Lenstar Hill Zito 8-1

8 Eisenstaedt Mojica Moquett 12-1

1 Corruze Cohen Hartman 10-1

7 Purse $83,000, 6 furlongs, 3-year-olds and up, maiden special weight

**CABOT was compromised by a wide trip in a quality third-place debut effort, and two of the four horses to run back from the race have landed in the winner's circle. He keeps the leading rider. LOOPALLU has the fastest pace and final figures in the field, but the three-time runner-up may be lacking the willingness to win. MIRACLE HILL showed promise in a pair of third-place finishes at Aqueduct, and he is back sprinting after a poor two-turn debut. He has also worked fast and often since his local bow.

PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

6 Cabot Santana Moquett 4-1

7 Loopallu Cabrera Hartman 7-2

8 Miracle Hill Borel Moquett 10-1

**CLEVER SERVE closed out 2018 winning a $100k stake at Remington. She defeated a quality allowance field in her first local start of the season and may hold a fitness edge over her primary rival. WONDER GADOT earned better than $1 million in 2018, and the synthetic track specialist showed her versatility in narrow losses in the Kentucky Oaks and the Fantasy. ROSE OF MALIBU is a consistent, strong finisher in a field that has a chance to produce a lively pace.

PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

4 Clever Serve Santana Asmussen 2-1

6 Wonder Gadot Cohen Casse 6-5

5 Rose of Malibu Cabrera Trout 6-1

9 Purse $45,000, 6 furlongs, fillies, 3-year-olds, maiden claiming $62,500

***SWEET CARLI has raced competitively this winter in maiden allowance races at Laurel, and she has trained very well since arriving in Hot Springs. KIFFLE was a clear second in her only race as a juvenile filly, and her works this winter suggest she is stronger and faster as a 3-year-old. CAROLINA BEACH has been forwardly placed before tiring in a pair of useful route races, and she is dropping in class and should appreciate a sprint distance.

PP HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER ODDS

4 Sweet Carli Court Fires 3-1

10 Kiffle Loveberry Robertson 5-1

5 Carolina Beach Santana Holthus 4-1

7 Fire On High Cabrera Lukas 6-1

EXOTIC POSSIBILITIES

The first race has a live long shot in Blanco Bronco, so I'll put him on top in a trifecta and use roughly six in the second and third slots to make sure I collect if he wins. The sixth race starts a 50-cent Pick-4, and Bold Prophet is a logical favorite, but others have a chance to win. The seventh race is a competitive sprint, and spreading out is recommended. The eighth race is a two-horse race in my mind, and the ninth has two fillies I really like.
