People protesting the Feb. 22 police shooting of Bradley Blackshire are arrested Tuesday, May 14, in Little Rock.

After a group of about 20 protesters blocked traffic in downtown Little Rock Tuesday afternoon, several were arrested.

The participants had been calling for the prosecution of officer Charles Starks, who was fired earlier this month, but not charged, after he fatally shot motorist Bradley Blackshire, 30, on Feb. 22. The protesters, who had blocked 3rd and Spring streets in front of the Pulaski County prosecutor's office, were arrested on Markham Street, in front of the Pulaski County Courthouse, around 3:45 p.m.

Blackshire's uncle, Rizelle Aaron, was among those arrested.

A police lieutenant had previously warned participants that anyone who stayed in the street would be arrested.
