Katherine Eleanor Holcomb and Justin Alan Vollmer were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Terry House. Judge Tricia S. Harris officiated.

Parents of the bride are Alice Lightle and Debbie Willhite of Evergreen, Colo., and Stuart Holcomb of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of the late Marion and Ed Lightle of Searcy and the late Carol and Norman Holcomb of Little Rock.

The groom is the son of Karen and David Rash and Richard Vollmer, all of Gastonia, N.C. His grandparents are Jean and the late Jerry Simpson, also of Gastonia.

Vows were exchanged on the front porch where a variety of urns and garden containers held groupings of colorful plants and fresh flowers including topiaries of gardenias, pots of bougainvillea, hydrangeas, roses, delphinium and sunflowers. Lanterns in different sizes lighted the ceremony site and lined the walkway to the front gate. Music was by guitarist Ben Harris and vocalist Genine LaTrice Perez.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless ivory gown of layered tulle with thin shoulder-straps and a V-neckline. She carried a cascade of hydrangeas, garden roses, peonies, tulips, gerbera daisies, ranunculus and sunflowers.

Alexandra Bickham of Shreveport was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Soulsby of Fayetteville and Megan Taylor, Gillian Sacks and Lily McRae, cousin of the bride, all of Little Rock. Junior bridesmaid was Brooklyn Holcomb of Little Rock, cousin of the bride. They wore A-line halter-style gowns of slate chiffon and carried bouquets of hydrangeas, roses, peonies, tulips and gerbera daisies.

Merritt Holcomb of Little Rock, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. The bride's dog, Teddy, served as a ring bearer.

Michael Dellinger of Gastonia was best man. Groomsmen were his stepfather; Preston Lyon of Charlotte, N.C.; Andy Westmoreland of McCadenville, N.C.; and Jeremy Rash of Honolulu, stepbrother of the groom.

Guests were seated by Foster Holcomb and Edward Holcomb, both of Little Rock and brothers of the bride.

A reception, also at the Terry House, was held after the ceremony. The buffet held an arrangement of bright yellow, blue, pink and orange delphinium, peonies, lilacs, hydrangeas and calla lilies. Guest tables held a variety of containers with colorful spring blooms and candlelight. Music was by Lagniappe.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Louisiana State University. She is a paralegal for the Department of Justice.

The groom is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor's degree in political science and is a consultant at McLarty Consulting.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a honeymoon in the British Virgin Islands.
