Roles: The annual presentation of the Bard (plus one musical) starts June 7 as the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre presents its 2019 season. This year's productions are A Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and Guys & Dolls. Performances continue through July 7 at the University of Central Arkansas, 201 S. Donaghey Ave., Conway. Romeo will also be a touring production with performances around the state. Tickets are $15-$34, $12.50-$28 for students, senior citizens and military. Comedy performances are pay what you can. Rolls: The town of Emerson salutes the mighty pea -- and some fast gardening equipment -- at the annual Purple Hull Pea Festival and World Championship Rotary Tiller Race, June 28-29 in Emerson. There will be music and fireworks on Friday but most events, including children's activities, car show, cook-offs and the big race are on Saturday. General admission is free.
