Annual Art & Soul benefit to aid Easterseals clients

Easterseals Arkansas held its annual artful fundraiser, Art & Soul, Nov. 5 at west Little Rock's Christ the King Catholic Church.

Co-chaired by James Chavez and Joey Lambert, the event kicked off with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction featuring artwork created by students of the agency's Artistic Realization Technology (ART) program, along with other Easterseals artists and professional artists that included Lauren Anderson, James Hayes, Kristen Hess, Marcus Lewis, Milkdadd, Justin Sharp, Courtney Wilson and others.

Mistress of ceremonies Ansley Watson of KATV, Channel 7, welcomed guests, who then bid on a live auction featuring such works as Music in Flowers, a painting by featured A.R.T. artist Alex Roberts and an art night out.

Easterseals Arkansas provides comprehensive health and wellness programs for Arkansans with disabilities. Its ART program enables children and adults with little or no use of their hands to become artists. Trained volunteers, known as trackers, follow the directives of the artists to create their works.
