MUSIC SCENE: Cordovas have new music to play at Stickyz show

TODAY

Cordovas will perform at 8:30 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $12.

Cordovas is an East Nashville, Tenn., band formed in 2011 by Joe Firstman, who had been the bandleader for TV's Last Call with Carson Daly from 2005-09. The band is on the road in support of its latest album, That Santa Fe Channel.

William Blackart, along with opening acts Fiscal Spliff and Daniel Pumpkinseed, will perform at 9 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Blackart, a native of Danville, released a debut album, Left, in 2007 and its follow-up, Return, in September 2018.

FRIDAY

Mushroomhead, along with opening acts The Kills 3, Unsaid Fate and Eddie & The Defiantz, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the show.

Baby Boy Bartels and The Boys will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at Griffin Restaurant in El Dorado. Admission is $5.

SATURDAY

Bluesboy Jag will perform acoustic with Grantster at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Ya Ya's Euro Bistro in Little Rock. Admission is free.

Jason Lee Hale will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday for the "Riffs at Stifft" at the Stone's Throw Stifft Station in Little Rock. Admission is free.

Richie & Rosie will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View. Admission is $12.

Richie Stearns is known for his stints as a banjo player and singer in The Horse Flies and Donna the Buffalo and for touring with Natalie Merchant. Rosie Newton is a fiddler and singer who has toured with The Duhks, Preston Frank, Red Dog Run and The Evil City Stringband.

• Legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd takes a final bow in Little Rock on Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. concert at First Security Amphitheater. Tickets range from $36-$150. Call (800) 745-3000 or visit ticketmaster.com.

• Members of Black Horse, Aihoon, Benadrill, Junkbomb, Sad Magick, Peckerwolf, Androids of Ex Lovers, Moonmane and more will perform for the second annual "Build a Band" night at 9 p.m. Saturday at White Water Tavern. Admission is $7.

Matt White, co-owner of White Water, explains the event: "We had 28 musicians draw from a hat and they came up with seven bands of four members each. The seven bands had one month to get together and write two or three songs. Last year was incredible, and I believe this year is going to top it! It's a rare opportunity to see the creative minds of our community."

Riff Raff will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Rev Room. Tickets range from $17 to $37.

White Chapel, with opening act Frost Koffin, will perform at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Rev Room. Admission is $15; $2 surcharge for minors.

• Treasure Chest Burlesque presents "Nightmare on Main Street" at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Four Quarter Bar in North Little Rock. Admission is $10.
