Class 5A

Alma 29, Morrilton 28

Olaf Olsson hit a 38-yard field goal with 18 seconds remaining as Alma rallied and claimed its first win of the season with an upset of Morrilton.

Morrilton (3-3, 1-2) had a 28-19 lead with 4:39 remaining, but Alma (1-5, 1-2) took the ensuing kickoff and pulled within 28-21 when Josh Davis, out of the Wildcat formation, hurdled a Morrilton defender and raced 10 yards for a touchdown with 1:28 left to play.

The Airedales went for the onside kick, and Gabe Jensen recovered the ball at the Alma 46 after it was touched by a Morrilton player. Alma then ran five plays and moved the ball to the Morrilton 20 before Olsson, who had never attempted a field goal in a game before, hit the kick with room to spare.

Greenbrier 24, Farmington 17

Greenbrier ran off 24 unanswered points, then held off a late Farmington charge to hand the Cardinals their first loss of the season.

Farmington (5-1, 2-1 5A-West) took a 7-0 lead on Josh Stettmeier's 43-yard touchdown run, but Greenbrier answered as Cooper Wilcox threw touchdown passes of 29 yards to Brody Johnson and 25 yards to Ryan Bernard. The Panthers then added a 1-yard touchdown run by Trey Havens, and Cody Powell added a 38-yard field goal for a 24-7 halftime lead.

Farmington was denied on fourth-and-goal at the Greenbrier 1 in the third quarter, but Ian Cartwright's 7-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown and Drew Sturgeon's 40-yard field goal pulled the Cardinals within 24-17 with 3:18 remaining. Farmington had the ball again with 2:07 remaining but turned the ball over on downs.

Clarksville 62, Huntsville 13

Garrett Waddill returned two interceptions for touchdowns to lead the Panthers to a 5A-West Conference blowout.

Clarksville (4-2, 1-2 5A-West) took control of the game early and never let up. The Panthers led 28-0 at the end of the first quarter and 48-0 at halftime.

Nicholas Buckner accounted for 5 Clarksville touchdowns, rushing for 3, passing for 1 and adding a 50-yard touchdown catch. Buckner had 105 yards rushing.

Easton Burkett added a 79-yard touchdown run late for Clarksville.

Class 4A

Lincoln 39, Berryville 34

Christian Sellers raced for 44 yards and the go-ahead touchdown with 3:36 remaining as Lincoln knocked off Berryville in 4A-1 Conference action.

Sellers had a 10-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to give Lincoln (4-2, 1-2) a 33-27 lead, but J. R. Smith's 4-yard quarterback sneak for a touchdown with 10:41 remaining gave Berryville a 34-33 lead. The Bobcats had a chance to extend their lead, but Lincoln ended that threat with an interception at its 5.

Brett Parsons lead Berryville's ground attack with 134 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries, followed by Smith with 15 carries for 79 yards and two scores. Dominic Henry added 74 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown for the Bobcats.

Ozark 41, Dardanelle 13

In a battle of unbeatens in the 4A-4 Conference, Ozark dominated the final three quarters and rolled to a big win behind junior quarterback Harper Faulkenberry.

Faulkenberry ran for 217 yards and scored 3 rushing touchdowns and fired a touchdown pass as the Hillbillies (5-1, 3-0 4A-4) remained atop the league standings.

Dardanelle led 6-0 after one quarter, but it was all Ozark the rest of the way.

Ryker Martin added a 65-yard touchdown for Ozark. Defensively, Keystan Durning had 20 tackles, and Lawsyn Jackson recorded two sacks.

Gentry 34, Green Forest 0

Four Gentry players ran for at least one touchdown as the Pioneers rolled to a 4A-1 Conference victory at Green Forest.

Quarterback Brandon Atwood led the Pioneers' ground attack with 81 yards and a touchdown on nine carries, while Brennan Crosby was a close second with 77 yards and a score on 13 carries. Charlie Reams had 48 yards and a touchdown on seven rushing attempts, while William Pyburn's only two carries resulted in touchdowns.

Gentry's defense forced five turnovers as Pyburn and Azariah Wood each recovered a fumble while Zach Jarnagan had two pass interceptions and Reams had another.

Elkins 43, Subiaco Academy 7

Kain Johnson accounted for five touchdowns as Elkins rolled past Subiaco Academy and stayed unbeaten in 4A-4 Conference play.

Johnson completed 11 of 18 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns, hitting Trevor Shumate twice and Josh Allan once more for scores. Johnson also ran for two touchdowns, while Cody Drummond also had a touchdown run.

Shumate finished with four receptions for 87 yards, while Drummond added four catches for 83 yards. Elkins (5-1, 3-0) also forced three fumbles, and Ben Evans had a 55-yard interception return.

Class 3A

Booneville 41, Greenland 6

Randon Ray ran for 120 yards on 10 carries and scored a touchdown to lead the Bearcats to the easy 3A-1 Conference win.

But Ray had plenty of help as the Bearcats (4-2, 3-0) rolled up 425 yards of total offense, including 388 on the ground.

Andrew Robertson ran for 77 yards on eight carries and scored two touchdowns, Cam Brasher ran for 76 yards on 13 carries and scored twice and Evan Schlinker ran for 71 yards on eight carries with a touchdown.

Greenland (3-3, 1-2) got 170 passing yards from Gabe Wilson, 71 on a completion to Carter Gobel which accounted for the lone Pirate score of the night.

Lamar 35, West Fork 6

Jacob Parmenter passed for one touchdown and ran for another to lead the Warriors to a 3A-1 Conference win.

Lamar (5-1, 2-1 3A-1) used a power run game behind Parmenter and Brady James, who had 93 yards on 6 carries and 2 touchdowns. Parmenter had 75 rushing yards.

Cedarville 55, Paris 27

Kelin Mitchell rushed for 268 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Pirates to a 3A-1 Conference win.

Mitchell added 2 catches for 37 yards, both resulting in touchdowns.

Darryl Kattich also had a big night rushing for Cedarville (5-1, 2-1 3A-1) with 213 yards on 24 carries and 3 touchdowns. The Pirates had 638 yards on the ground.

Mansfield 28, Charleston 24

Layton Howard returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown with under a minute remaining as Mansfield rallied and handed Charleston its first loss in 3A-1 Conference play.

Howard also had a 90-yard kickoff return for a score, while Ethan Stovall and Isaac Cothran each had a rushing touchdown for Mansfield (5-1, 2-1).

Brayden Ross completed 17 of 28 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown for Charleston (2-4, 2-1), and Dalton Curtis caught a touchdown pass and threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Zimmer.

Class 2A

Mountainburg 46, Johnson County Westside 22

Malachia West and Dylan Coughran were a potent 1-2 punch to help the Dragons to a big 2A-4 Conference win.

West rushed for 164 yards on just 12 carries and scored two touchdowns and four two-point conversions as Mountainburg rolled to a 24-0 lead after a quarter and 40-8 advantage by halftime.

Coughran added 90 yards on just six carries and scored three touchdowns and added a two-point conversion.

Magazine 48, Hector 19

Seven different players scored as the Rattlers rolled over Hector in a key 2A-4 Conference game.

Cameron Raggio returns a fumble for a touchdown to get the Rattlers (4-1, 2-0) off to a good start. Tatum Scott added a rushing touchdown to push the lead to 16-0.

Hector (2-3, 1-1) cut it to 16-7, but touchdowns by Caleb Hatt, Kobe Faughn and Xeng Yang had Magazine in command at the half, leading 36-7.
