Jazz at UALR

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Jazz Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. today in Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, Fine Arts Building, UALR, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock. The program includes "Possum Valley Shuffle" by Brian Rhodes, "There's a Boat Dat's Leavin' Soon for New York" and "The Man I Love" (featuring singer Kenshayla Robinson) by George and Ira Gershwin, "Scott's Place" by Sammy Nestico, "Afternoon" by Pat Metheny and "St. Thomas" by Sonny Rollins. Mozart concerto

Harding University faculty member Scott Carrell will be the soloist in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in d minor, K.466, with the 14-member Russian String Orchestra and music director Misha Rachlevsky, 8:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Administration Auditorium at Harding, 915 E. Market Ave., Searcy. The program also includes the Chamber Symphony No. 1, op.145, by Mieczysław Weinberg; In Memory of Henri Temianka by Tom Schnauber; and the Serenade for String Orchestra, op.6, by Josef Suk. Frank talk

Gillian Walnes Perry, co-founder of the Anne Frank Trust and author of The Legacy of Anne Frank, will talk about "The Surprising Global Legacy of Anne Frank," 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock. The program is in conjunction with the Anne Frank Tree installation in the Clinton Presidential Park. A book signing will follow.
