Arts lecture

Wendy Holmes, senior vice president of consulting and strategic partners with Artspace, a Minnesota-based nonprofit developer, owner and operator of 52 arts facilities in 23 states, will give a lecture titled "The Symbiotic Relationship Between Artists and Cities," 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Windgate Center of Art & Design, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock. It's part of the Architecture and Design Network's 2019-20 June Freeman lecture series. A 5:30 reception precedes the lecture. Admission is free. Verizon Monster Jam

Tickets — $17, $37 and $47 plus fees — go on sale at 10 a.m. today for the Monster Jam monster trucks show, 7 p.m. Feb. 29 and 1 p.m. March 1 at North Little Rock's Verizon Arena. There is an 8-ticket limit. Pit passes, $15 plus an event ticket, provides "unprecedented access to the Monster Jam trucks and drivers. ... to see the trucks up close, take pictures, meet the drivers and get their autographs," according to a news release.
